Introduction
Ensuring the quality of academic institutions, their programs, departments, and centers is fundamental to their success. Quality has become an essential requirement that must be adhered to, and obtaining accreditation—whether academic accreditation for the University and its programs or ISO certification for departments and centers—has become necessary as evidence of the quality of practices and processes. For this reason, the University established the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department to manage and support academic quality activities across its colleges, centers, and departments.
Objectives
- Contribute to formulating the University’s strategic objectives in the fields of development, quality, and academic accreditation.
- Fulfill the University’s mission through advanced methods and mechanisms.
- Provide effective consulting support to colleges, centers, departments, units, and programs in the fields of quality and accreditation.
- Build cooperative relationships and partnerships with reputable institutions in the fields of quality and accreditation to achieve strategic benefits for the University.
- Develop distinguished expertise in quality assurance, evaluation, and academic accreditation in higher education.
- Support efforts to improve the University’s academic ranking.
- Promote a culture of quality among University members, organize events in the field of quality and accreditation, and encourage studies in this area.
- Work to qualify all University programs to obtain academic accreditation from national and international accreditation bodies.

Permanent Committee for Quality and Academic Accreditation
The committee is responsible for setting and reviewing the general policies of development, quality, and academic accreditation activities at the University. It also designs the internal review program for academic programs, centers, and departments, and proposes training plans for University members, according to the following tasks:
- Develop and review general policies and procedures related to quality and academic accreditation at the University.
- Design and implement annual internal review plans for academic programs, centers, and departments at the University.
- Participate in monitoring the performance of all academic and administrative units in implementing and applying quality plans and improving performance.
- Study national and international program accreditation applications and approve them.
- Seek assistance from qualified University members when needed.
