Legal Affairs Department

Introduction:

The Legal Affairs Department was established by University President’s Decision No. 1628/MJ/40 dated 09/01/1440H. The department is organizationally affiliated with the University President, and it is responsible for providing opinions and legal advice to all entities and departments of the University regarding the proper application of regulations, bylaws, and instructions. It reviews all contracts and agreements, ensuring they are legally structured, examines violations attributed to faculty members, staff, and students, and represents the University in cases filed against it before competent authorities such as the Administrative Court at the Board of Grievances, the Labor Court, or the Sharia Court.

The department also studies contracts and agreements signed with various colleges, deanships, and centers of the University, prepares and reviews administrative decisions, and undertakes other tasks referred to it. The Legal Affairs Department consists of the following units:
