Computer Science Department
The Computer Science Department was established in 1426 AH (2005) to serve the higher education needs of the Al-Qassim Region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since its establishment, the Department has developed substantial experience in academic systems and established practices within the Kingdom.
The Department currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with two specialized tracks: Computer Science and Software Engineering. It also offers a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity.
The Department works to strengthen its visibility across the Kingdom and enhance its presence within academic communities through media and online platforms. Recognizing the importance of institutional visibility, the administration has launched an initiative within its strategic plan to enhance the Department’s public and academic profile.
In 2017, the College introduced several new programs and revised the curricula of its existing programs. The new study plans were approved by the Ministry of Education and implemented during the 2017–2018 academic year. In response to labor market needs, the Department launched the Cybersecurity Program in 2025.
