Develop measurement instruments, including surveys and tests required for evaluation processes.
Supervise the administration and analysis of various measurement instruments and submit the results, in strict confidence, to the parties responsible for evaluation. The results are used to reinforce strengths and address areas requiring improvement.
Analyze the results of midterm and final course examinations and provide statistical indicators of test quality, such as reliability coefficients and item difficulty indices. These indicators assist course coordinators in evaluating the suitability of examination questions for measuring students’ academic achievement.
Present and discuss evaluation results with department coordinators to exchange perspectives on improving student assessment methods.
Facilitate the scoring of objective examinations and evaluate their effectiveness in measuring academic achievement.
Conduct studies on selected academic and non-academic issues to provide evidence and indicators that support administrative decision-making.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of faculty members and equivalent academic personnel for the purpose of performance improvement.
Provide consultation to users of measurement instruments and surveys on their administration, analysis, and interpretation.
Organize and deliver training courses in measurement and evaluation to develop relevant professional skills.
Coordinate with other College committees on matters relevant to their respective responsibilities.
Prepare a comprehensive report at the end of each academic year, including complete statistics and key performance indicators, where applicable.
