Computer Engineering Program – Computer Engineering Track
About the Program
The Computer Engineering Program prepares students to analyze computing-based problems using abstraction, modeling, and mathematical methods, and to design, implement, and evaluate innovative systems and applications across diverse contexts.
The Program focuses on developing high-quality and secure systems, including operating systems, networks, databases, and software architectures, with particular emphasis on automatic control systems, modeling, and integrated systems. Students also engage in research on emerging topics and develop the ability to communicate effectively and work independently or collaboratively while demonstrating ethical conduct and professional responsibility. The Program also develops leadership and entrepreneurship skills.
In addition, the Program provides a strong foundation in computer engineering principles, architectural models, user experience, and the selection and integration of appropriate hardware, software, tools, and technologies required to build and maintain secure and efficient computing infrastructure that meets user needs.
